The Santa Clara County Deputy Sheriffs Association could be on its way into some hot water after having failed to file campaign contribution report for two years, and possibly longer. According to a complaint filed with the Fair Political Practices Commission, the DSA has not filed form 460 reports for contributions made to political candidates from 2010 through the end of 2012. The alleged infraction involves tens of thousands of dollars the DSA contributed to multiple candidates. There is other evidence that shows the neglect may have gone as far back as 2008.
The DSA is supporting a candidate opposing Sheriff Laurie Smith in her bid for re-election, but not long ago, the organization supported the Sheriff. In fact, it is the campaign contributions made to Smith by the DSA that are at the heart of this trouble. Sheriff Smith reported receiving those contributions. Why didn’t the DSA report them as required by law? “They (DSA) ought to be held to the same standards as everyone else,” said Doug Allen, who filed the complaint yesterday.

The DSA “could” be on its way into some hot water…zzzzzzzz
If coulds and buts were beer and nuts we’d have a helluva party.
Not sure why I even bother commenting. Left hook is obviously morphed into a Rich Robinson microphone. So much for credible reporting. Too bad, too too bad.
