Steve Preminger is leaving Working Partnerships USA, where he served as the Director of Union Community Resources for nearly two decades, to continue a career in public service as Special Assistant to Santa Clara County Executive Jeff Smith.
“Over the years Steve has helped countless families through difficult times with genuine compassion and understanding” said Ben Field, Executive Officer of the South Bay AFL-CIO Labor Council. “We will miss him badly, but we are happy that he will continue to help his community in his new position at the County.”
As Director of Union Community Resources (UCR) at Working Partnerships USA, Steve Preminger dedicated his time to supporting vulnerable workers and their families. Hundreds of families were served each year through UCR, which also put on an annual Holiday Party that, through partnerships with various labor unions and community stakeholders, provided gifts to underprivileged children and their families.
Steve Preminger is the epitome of a true leader in his community and the Labor Movement. He will begin his service to the County on Monday, August 10.
