The Morgan Hill Unified School District finds itself in yet another controversy, this time as a result of the extraordinarily insulting and inappropriate emails sent by Trustee David Gerard from his official email address. Gerard denigrated several of his fellow board members and the District Superintendent, but saved his most venomous slurs for then-Trustee Amy Porter Jensen, commenting on her “big ass catwalk” and “slut shoes.” This sort of sexist and sexualized behavior should not be tolerated anywhere, but least of all in elected office.
Gerard is a misogynistic bully who is an embarrassment to himself and the Morgan Hill Unified School District. He is a terrible example for the children of the District, and no Morgan Hill parent should want him in charge. Hopefully, he will have the decency to step down immediately.
