San Jose’s City Council majority continues to provide no plan or leadership to recruit and retain experienced workers to provide services that our residents deserve. IFPTE Local 21 Members describe their valuable work and provide a roadmap for San Jose electeds to follow that will restore services and restore San Jose.
“We have seen many people with 20 years of experience working for the City who left and took demotions in order to make more money working for other cities,” Senior Engineer John Mukhar says in the video.
“We need a balanced San Jose. We need a San Jose that has police, fire, parks, and a solid infrastructure. And without a balanced San Jose, we will have a challenged San Jose,” adds Cindy Rebhan, parks manager.
