Santa Clara City Council to Vote on $15 by 2019

 

Tonight, the Santa Clara City Council will vote on whether to raise the city’s minimum wage to $15 an hour by 2019. If passed, Santa Clara will become the latest city to join the regional effort in getting to a $15 minimum wage sooner than mandated by the State of California. The effort to increase the City’s wage to be on par with surrounding cities such as San Jose, Sunnyvale and Mountain View has, in large part, been led by Vice Mayor Dominic Caserta.
